R1250RT service interval ?

Sorry for being boring, I was under the impression that a valve clearance check on a 1250 RT was either 3yrs or 12,000mls. Is that correct or does time have nothing to do with it ?. I’m talking official bmw dealer here in the UK.

12,000 miles, my 1250 is just over 3 years and I have just had the yearly service. My 2014 RT was 4.5 years old before the 12k service, which was done when the bike got to 12k

Thanks for clarifying, I was certain I was told 3 yrs of 12k somewhere, my bad then. My dealer is going to check them anyway along with cam timing and a rattle investigation, only trouble is they won’t reset the service timer so I have to go back at 12k miles. Things are getting a little frustrating !.
