Hi All
Just to let fellow Tossers know that this Firday, 10th June, Suzuki Live event takes place at Cadwell Park. This is a free to spectate event, display of older Suzuki bikes and Barry Sheene's restored race bikes will be on track. Test rides on new Suzuki bikes available if that floats your boat.

May see some of you guys there weather permitting.

Last one.
Points to anyone who can identify the older chap in the picture and his significance in the career of a British motorcycling icon.

Glad you had a good day out. Hope your bike battery allowed you to get home ok without problems.
We managed to get to the ice cream parlour and indulged on your behalf.

Cheers. Yep, it would appear that the Sat. Nav. had drained the battery.
I'm jealous about the ice cream. Did you sort out your exhaust?

Narrowed down the choice a bit. Going back to LMT to try a couple of bikes fitted with different options. Problem is trying before you buy can be difficult with exhausts as there are 6 on the shortlist.

Keith Huewen ?

Indeed. Decisions, decisions.

We spotted you when we arrived, now we know where you 2 were headed.

Correct 5 points.
And the significance thing?

IIRC, around 1966/7 the FIM banned some of the crazy multi-cylinder bikes in an attempt to bring sanity to the cost of going racing, Stuart ended up with an ex-works Suzuki or two along with spares kits. When he decided to retire & set up in business, before going car racing, he passed these on to one Barry Sheene, or more likely Franco to fettle for the lad (BS was 15/16 at the time).

Stuart is 80 now & still looks trim. I last saw him race (not demo) bikes at the 1967 Hutchinson 100 races at Brands, when they ran the full GP circuit in reverse (anti-clockwise). However there were a few other good riders who turned up that day with works bikes; one in particular sticks in my memory, a pretty decent racer by the name of S M B Hailwood.

Correct. More points to you sir, good knowledge.
