The Eifel Mountains

It is indeed good to have a reference point and Norfolk is as good as any other......

Not least, it’s a fallacy to assume that there is always ‘Great twisty roads’ between A and B, as if just crossing the Channel makes everything guaranteed as being fantastic.

I like to compare to Wales as I know it quite well, from day trips and weekends away, and the Ardeness \ Luxembourg, Morvan, Black Forest and Vosges are all fairly similar in size, so I know a few days is enough to cover a lot of ground.

Great roads from A-B, yes, if there were great roads from "A" (being my house) and "B" (being where I am planning to go) then I really would have very little reason to go there ;-)
