A couple of questions…

Does anyone know of a source that can still supply 345mm torque arms for the 11xx series bikes?

Would anyone else be interested if I could put together a group buy?

I’ve had one fitted for years, that the PO offered me for £5… I told him that would be robbery and gave him £30, which was still robbery but he would not take any more. Now it’s looking a bit worse for wear so a replacement is being sought and I’m preparing myself for a price shock since I might have to get one made…

345mm?

blimey..... that'd lift the arse of my old Rockster a fair bit..... (I've already got the GS-length 365mm on it, the centre-stand only just works!)

It does a great job of lining up the shaft/FD and raises the back nicely so turn in is fantastic. There can’t be many GS’s that get this far over…;)

The c/stand is affected much more by the 17” front wheel so I re-profiled the stops on the top of the c/stand so it doesn’t roll forwards.

That'll be a chicken pin stripe then! :D

Ps: can you not simply re-furbish the torque arm?

Good one, Pete… :D

It’s suffering from some fairly serious corrosion and I’d rather replace it. Even if it means I go to a local firm and get one made to order…

After working away for a few days, I got home to a nice adjustable torque arm (thanks Barry…:thumb2), so I did the swap and now feel a bit queasy…

I knew the old one had corroded quite badly but when I removed the bolt to the FD, it literally split along 80% of its length. It was still very rigid and capable of doing its job, but looks horrendous.

Fuckinel that's an eye opener; it's not the sort of part you would spend much time giving it a good looking at even when washing the bike; hope you get one sorted;
