Need to buy some more tyre fitting paste soap, the cheap stuff that came with the tyre changer wasn’t upto much. I have tried Windex, as some people have recommended that, but evaporates too quick. So wondering if anybody can recommend a good soap please.

Empty jam jar to local fitters and a packet of biscuits as a thank you has worked for me.

I have tried similar tactic in the past (well cash), but tried to get some the other day, but the two garages I went too weren’t interested, just said you can buy online.

I bought a tub from local tyre fitting place, only cost a tenner or so

Reminds me of when in my youth I motocrossed.
Changed a back tyre. New one was difficult to get on, what with a mixture of stupidity and security bolts. I used Fairy liquid.
Tyre on, blew up, tightened security bolts.
Next day: Motocross.
On start line on a very wet morning.
Dropped clutch. (400 Husky)
Rim promptly spun in tyre, ripping out valve stem.
Bike sitting on start line with a foam bath at back wheel.
