Taking in several of the most popular passes, all courtesy of Motorrad & Reisen magazine edition 111.

It also includes ‘biker friendly’ hotel suggestions from the magazine’s ‘partner house’ scheme. That being said, there are more hotels in the Dolomites than there are devils in hell and all of them like any sort of guests.

Download the routes in the usual way, using the DOLOTOUR tour code.

The three routes download really nicely. Here they are in Pocket Earth Pro, using nothing but an iPad. One instant holiday.

The same article also had a reference to other past articles, each with tour codes too. Tap around a bit, you can’t break it.

For example, though I don’t speak German, it’s pretty easy to guess that the second route on the list is probably ‘21 Dolomite passes in a day’. Which, using the pass code, brings you to another great download, shown in blue:

The same download also gives an alternative of 15 passes, shown in red:

Join the whole lot up together and you’d have a really great holiday, handed to you on a plate.

PS Why a UK publishing house cannot produce high quality magazines like this and other similar German magazines is a mystery.

Herman’s book is very good. The only downside is that it takes a while to cut his routes into a GPX file. Having it done for you is always helpful.

Ooooh, strange.

Try:

A. Dropping any capitals.

B. Removing all spacing.

C. A combination of A and B.
