And once again Nav VI comes up with "No songs were found. To play songs copy music files into the MP3 folder" when I start the Media Player app.

Everything was fine until I added another album vis Music Monkey. I can get it to work if I swap from MP3 to iPhone then back again but the next time I turn the bike on, same errot message FFS

If you have a VI, i believe you can get it to play MP3's from your phone ?

Yes I can but I want it to play from the SD card as I've always done. It's done this before. I think I've found out why is goes wrong.
It needs a "Music" folder on the Nav VI memory with at least one song in it.
Why this keeps disappearing is beyond me.

I play music from an SD card in my Nav6. It has a Folder named 'MP3' containing folders named according to the album, each of which contains the appropriate MP3 files.
There is no Folder named Music in the Nav6 memory.
