My Ultimate Ear Bluetooth SoundEar Pro monitors manifested a sudden fault last Saturday, where the right channel all but vanished, though the left was fine. Unsure whether this was a problem with the Bluetooth feed from my bike or the monitors themselves, I linked them to my phone where the problem continued.
A quick email to Ultimate Ear explaining the problem was acknowledged by return, with an agreement that I would call them on Monday. Monday’s call agreed that I would pop down on Tuesday to see them (30 minutes in the car from home) and they’d take a look to see what the problem is.
Tuesday I dropped in and the monitors were mended whilst I waited. Apparently, the right hand ‘damper’ had failed. This they replaced and the left one as a precaution, too. 10 minutes after arrival, I was on my way back home.
