I liked the Challenger's size when I test rode one. One of the few bikes that doesn't look comically small when I ride it...hence the Goldwing. I also found the RKS quite cramped in factory configuration.
The Street Glide has bar-mounted fairing whereas the Road Glide is frame mounted .
Makes a huge difference even if the latter has marmite looks .
I’d go for the latter . Try them both .
Actually I’d go for something else that’s far superior to both IMHO
Looks are obviously subjective . But the Challenger has a much better motor than a Road Glide, making about 40 more bhp as standard , is much more comfortable, much better equipped and the suspension and handling is in a different league .
We did Route 66 on one a couple of weeks ago. My bike was fine except for the usual rattles but a couple had issues with clutch ( complete loss) and brakes ( bike point moving and rattling levers).
Easy to handle, albeit some riders struggle with turning circles, presumably because of the weight and low COG.
