That is a nice bike.

Lovely bike
I take it your tyres are new ;)

Anything that you’d change it for ?

It had it's 3rd set of tyres at just under 6000 miles - the first set I changed early as I was going on a trip the last set were totally shagged after 3000 miles although 1600 of that was in the Picos so hard riding on abrasive roads etc and it wasn't the centre hard strip that was badly worn the next 3rd of the tyre out wards was pretty much down to the carcasss - I expect 4000 miles in the uk

There is nothing currently available that I would consider swapping this bike for - it is sublime in every way for me - the way it handles and carries corner speed and the way it just goes forwards with no drama - it is possibly the easiest bike above 125cc that I have ever ridden and those 208BHPs are not at all scary in reality

But in reality it is way too much bike for the real world of UK roads and I suspect that the V2 version would be much more useable although it is not the same bike at all ( not just a smaller engine, it is a totally different bike in every aspect )

Any way I am deeply in love with this one so she is a keeper for now

I have no doubt whatsoever that that is one brilliant motorbike. BUT, that exhaust....

Probably just me....:)

Boring question… it is it comfy? Range between bum rest?

Genuinely yes it is comfy which may be surprising

The seat is wonderful and I have done 400 mile days without issue but of course you have to sop every 100 miles to add fuel !

She does like a drink and when being worked as hard as I dare it is in the low 30s MPG wise but steady away ( which is still pretty quick ( it does not know how to go slowly )) low 40s
Another criticism is no fuel gauge just a light that comes on at about 80 miles and a new trip saying how far since the light came on
16L tank and even when I have been on the point of real panic 14L fills it so a bit left but that might be fuel that cant be used so to speak

IMO Ducati sacrificed some things like a fuel gauge so it can have beautiful billet Ali side stand

I agree and it is actually not as bad from the other side - when on its stand it tends to show it all - upright it isnt so bad but in truth I am not paying £5K plus 8 hours labour for a full term or akra or £3k for an end can neither of which really improves the looks and it needs another couple of BHP like I need a penis reduction

This is what it really looks like upright

Thanks Rick, missed your reply

Lovely looking bike. Now you tell me it’s comfy too :blast I do enjoy a tour, but putting it in a van and getting it out when I reach the Dolonpmites / Pyrenees/ Scotland is making sense even if it seem like cheating.

That fuel economy is salty though

All i can say is go and try one i think you will be amazed at the comfort and the performance and just how easy it is to ride - it is the easiest thing i have ever ridden over 125cc - so light and just, well easy. it looks hard core and in many ways it is but get over the mental blockage of 208 BHP beast and its sublime never frightening in its behaviour other than the speed

There's just something about a Duke! I think a Ducati's mix of handling, poise and roadholding would make any rider feel like a TT winner. Reader, I WAS that TT winner! :D
