Just reading elsewhere that UK visitors are being turned away from some border crossing from Croatia when trying to enter Slovenia. These are the minor road crossings over mountains such as near Novo Selo Žumberačko https://goo.gl/maps/S7HC3AwrToT498z19

Seems Slovenia is enforcing the 3rd Country rules to enter Schengen so these minor crossings are only open to EU citizens under Freedom of Movement. UK passport holders need to use one of the recognised International Frontiers where their credentials will be checked electronically.

I will lock this thread as it will only descend into another slag fest and get moved from the useful information section. Feel free to start another one in the pub.

Thank you for flagging this up Wessie.

If you or anyone hears that the position is changed or (better still) finds out for themselves that minor border crossings for UK passport holders IS possible, let me or Wessie know, when the thread can be unlocked and amended as appropriate.
