Can anyone tell me the purpose of the separate plastic plate that came with a Fuzeblock, please. I can find no reference to it in the instructions nor see it anywhere in the few videos I have looked at.

As far as I can see it is exactly the same size (area) as the rear of the block, its holes lining up exactly with what I take to be the four ‘mounting posts’ in each corner.

I can only guess that I bolt it on (the package includes four bolts and four nylock nuts) to the rear of the block to protect the otherwise exposed soldered points?

If someone can confirm this is correct, please, that would be great.

Thank you.

If you're mounting it using the bolt holes - leave it off. If you're not and using double sided tape/velcro/mastic then bolt the plate on to keep the connectors off the surface.

I did smear some grease on mine, to prevent any water corrosion, or potential for shorting out should something have got underneath.
