Hi,
I have a 2014 Trek Crossrip https://www.allterraincycles.co.uk/trek-2014-crossrip-comp-cyclocross-bike that i have used for a few years to commute in Aberdeen so fairly flat. I have now moved over to the western isles and its more road riding lots of hills and rough tarmac. So was looking at buying a new bike but i really like the Trek size and fit is great so thought about converting it.
Anyone used these guys https://electric-bike-conversions.co.uk/products/x1-pro-gen-2-2021-5000w-ebike-conversion-kit and have you any experience in converting? Or is it better to simply buy a bespoke bike?
It the later anyone any experience either holidaying or staying up this neck of the woods as to which hybrid type bikes work well? I’m 6”4 and around 100kg so something in the XL frame size.
Many thanks
Mark
