Hi,
Is there anything I can do to stop the pop up visual alerts that appear and obscure half the map as I approach junctions, primarily on motorways?
My eyesight is not what it was and the resultant shrinking of the map with an often irrelevant, unwanted (and at least once recently, WRONG!) overlaying animation is a pain, particularly on the R1200GS, where I have the Zumo mounted above the clocks at full arms length away. So continual "swipe right" gestures are unsafe and annoying.
I've asked the 'bots at Garmin and they "...don't think you can turn off the visual alerts..." and simply point me to the section of the manual that tells you how to manage audible alerts. Duh.
I maybe clutching at straws and maybe it SHOULD be part of an update (but not possible/cost effective?)
