Tyres (sorry) for fast A roads/ motorways

I'm on my way back from Croatia, the coastal road from the new bridge on the way to Dubrovnik is something to behold. Plus hundreds of miles on the way down in torrential rain in the Slovenian mountains . My standard tourances are superb in all conditions.
