I had a 250 one - wish i never sold it. must have been a later model as didnt have those exhausts.

Wait - is that a twin???

Kawasaki 350 Avenger - Two stroke twin - Rotary disc valve induction.

My mate has one......in slightly better nick than this one.

great find ,,,defo won't need an MOT...........but why take it to the MOT station :D. nice winter project

Doh, i thought it was a KH. And i thought i knew my Kawasaki's - never even heard of that model!

...Just read its a US model...

Rare Yamaha GTS in the background too, I had a green one back in the day.

Hmmm, my memory needs a kick. My mate's bike is the 250 Samurai not the 350 Avenger.

He says that it's actually a Samurai 250 SS - The 'SS' being the Street Scrambler version with the high pipes.

Nice, innit ???

Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that... but yes, to me that's very pretty and really interesting.

Looking at the detail, I just find details like those old drum brakes so much more attractive than modern discs.

Street Scramblers are an odd genre, but with a short wheelbase, a peaky 2 stroke motor and cow horn handlebars, it looks like it was made to wheelie.

I remember back in the mid 80's Kawasaki World on High Street West Sunderland was in a building that had been a department store and had a large basement area which was closed to the public ,we got there as it was one of our tea spots and in the basement alongside some bizarre Christmas grotto displays were a few older Kawasaki's including a Samurai and an Avenger and if my memory serves me right some early triples.

Assumed they belonged to Dave (who now has Triumph Newcastle) , wonder if he still owns them ?

About the same time there was an old shop not far from the nick on Silksworth Row that had been a Suzuki dealership in the late 60's and early 70's and when the old guy died and it was cleared there were allegedly a number of smaller capacity bikes stored still in crates

Is she on her way to the gym or coming back …I hope shes not another one who has lost her iPhone ?

I'm quite proud of myself, I never saw that I was so busy looking at the suspension setup on the Yamaha! :))

"...it was one of our tea spots..." - and to think, Permanent Beat Officers would never pass-up any opportunity for a trusted tea spot!

I fancied one of those Kawasakis when I was a teen. Unfortunately I never had the money to get one. But I have the sales leaflet of them though. When I did I ended up with a Yamaha RD350 Torque Induction. Good luck with the restoration of it.

The design is similar to the Bridgestone GTO

Here's my 350 GTO for comparison
