Two questions if I may, having purchased a 42 yr old R100RS:
Is there an airhead specialist in Essex pls?
Can I run it on super unleaded (I use 99 RON) in my car and GSA? Having trawled internet, there appear to be two camps. No - not without conversion. Yes - the valve seats would have been hardened whilst using old fashioned 4 star.
The previous owner has had said bike for 25 yrs, and is as left Berlin in 1979. Last MOT was 2004. 2,000 miles has been added since then - and current mileage is just under 25,000. Starts first time and not aware of any engine issues.
Although a classic I intend to ride it couple of times (no more than 400-500 miles) a month and whilst respecting its age, will ride it with gusto as intended.
