Which 701?

Enjoy your LR. You've been lucky to find one:thumb2

You have been lucky to find the LR, but for those still looking there is an option to fit an additional 5.9 Litre fuel tank in place of the large airbox and use the much smaller Twin Air filter. Rade sell the kit to do this as well as one which uses a storage box instead. Total capacity increases to 18.9 Litres compared to the 25 on the LR.

LR’s only come out when there’s a full moon

Though to be honest you really need a Renazco made for you.Every seat that James makes is tailored to your height and weight and the bikes intended use, so unless you happen to find someone with similar stats to you, you won’t get the full benefit.
They are the best seats I’ve ever used though.
Last year I rode 668 miles in one day on the 701 and no aches at all !!

Ok Arsey, what are your stats?

Ah, that's why the seat feels a little hard for my little tush at 85kgs. :yelrotflm I need to eat more pizzas!

Yes it feels hard , but it stays supportive. If you sit on a bike and think the seat is comfy because of the give, after a few hours it’ll probably get uncomfy.
The Renazco feels firm but never changes . I’ve done 12 hour days on that bike and it was brilliant

I don't think they make the LR anymore but you can buy the tank and all the components as a kit from Husqvarna. Costs about £1800.

The range of the standard bike is 150 miles + so I'd have thought the demographic for LR buyers is quite small, particularly in this country.

Bigger, heavier, more expensive and an uglification of a stunningly good looking bike.

But then I suppose lots of people, including me, bought GSAs, although GSs' are largely pretty fucking hideous to start with and the GSA is something of an improvement.

New (to me) Husky in the garage...

Hi All,

Not been on here for a while, but have just bought a 2019 701 Enduro to keep the GSA company in the garage. It has the Rade Garage carbon tower and aux fuel tank fitted along with various other bits. The only think I don't like are the tubed tyres, as I will be riding it to destinations/events; not putting it in a van or on a trailer. So I have ordered a new pair of Excel rims to suit tubeless tyres.

Scott.
