Zum Lowenbrau Gasthof, Adelsdorf/ Neuhaus, midway between Bamberg and Nuremburg.
Good accommodation, excellent menu and beer brewed in house. Still working my way through the different options. Www.zum-loewenbraeu.de Picked this place at random on Booking.com as it was just off the autobahn as I head home.

There are approx 60 small private German breweries with accommodation. Guess I have a few options to try on my next trips. See link for other places

Thank you.

A different take on hotels and something for bods to try out.

As it’s different I’ll make it a sticky for now.

Should also have mentioned. At Zum Lowenbrau, the beer is 2.5euro for a half litre. There's an out of hours honesty fridge

That's really useful to know- thanks for sharing :thumb

I've just received their 22/23 booklet detailing all brewery inns - looks good for a few nights next summer.
It's about A5 but folds in the middle - handy to carry with you and find someplace near when you decide to stop for the night.

Try the Rothaus Brewery near to Graffenhausen. Not the cheapest, but absolutely outstanding. Brilliant rooms, beer, restaurant, brewery tours and location.

So the hard copy brochure landed on the mat today.

140 pages. 62 establishments.

And a cute cover letter “Dear Fellow Beer Lover

Digital copies are fine at times, but you can’t beat flicking through the pages.

Thanks again for the pointer.

ps - Scotland’s in England for a German :)

I’ve stopped at 3 of them so far. All very good, although one made dark beer which I didn’t like. Lager man me.
