I've never had any dealings with them but here's my old SP5 No 68 (which they have listed as a two-owner bike) that I sold to a guy from Jersey in August 2020

https://www.thebikespecialists.com/...heffield-acc6541a-9b7f-4c9b-a2f4-f2cb5fcfb0ab

Now I was definitely the 3rd owner (because I did my due diligence) which makes the guy from Jersey owner number 4

Owner number 4 must have taken a right financial kicking because I sold it to him for considerably more than The Bike Specialists have it listed for on their website. Which doesn't explain why a bike that is still showing as FOR SALE on their website is currently languishing in owner number 5's garage somewhere south of Bristol and owner number 5 only paid £22500 for it :D

It's a funny old world the 'Classic Bike' market :augie

Now that’s really odd!

I think that they rely upon rich non biker buyers such as Bankers looking for something to spend their bonus upon and the slick showroom can seem persuasive to them.

The ultra high prices attract attention, and mere
plebs like us who might have an inkling as to a realistic price wont be interested.

Anyway, I’m just glad that I managed to import my sport before the £/€ rate went south!

Not long ago they were advertising "the 1st enfield continental gt 250 from the factory" 10.5K!!!!
I know it wasn't as my mate owned the real one and I did the recommision/repair work on it.
There were loads of obvious reasons why theirs wasn't.
