1986 G/S 0719

My local BMW dealer printed off some information for me about my 1986 G/S

It says that it had the 0719 Deviation from series production ?

Does anybody know what this means ?

Where 999 M “special color” and 0719 Deviation from standards, it is the guarantee of a G / S 80 ex factory in Paris Dakar configuration.

To say suprised and please is a bit of a understatement.

Not many were factory produced as PDs….. most were altered by dealers.

My friend has one that was factory produced as a PD, the original owner ( a friend who is no longer with us sadly) ordered it from the factory, and then took it round the world for 5 years.
Another friend now owns , and has kept its patina. If he ever gets rid of it, I’m first in line.
