NC750X seat differences

Hi All you Honda NC750X experts.

I have a 2021 model year bike and am looking at comfort seat options.
There seems little or nothing around for this year bike, used rather than new, with seats for earlier bikes more commonly advertised. Have considered having my seat reworked but as the bike will be in winter storage soon I am not in a rush to do this.

As far as seats are concerned the model fitments seem to be split as:
up to 2016/17
2017-2020
2021 onwards

Does anyone have knowledge of the differences in fitment, will an earlier seat go on a later bike etc and what if any modifications may be required ?

the part numbers for the 16 on and the 2020 are the same from partzilla

the 21 is different (the cubby is a litre bigger maybe thats something to do with it)

find a sh seat and gel pad it??

oh an S seat wont fix an X (i tried this)

even tho the frames are the same the mounts are different so the seats are different

pissed me right off till i found a sh seat for my x

I use an Airhawk on my 750X.
All day comfort now..

Thanks guys, already have an airhawk on other bikes and I agree it does aid comfort on the NC too.
I have the option of a 21 year seat so may well have that " gelified" or reworked somehow. If I can find an aftermarket seat then even better. I did suspect the bikes prior to 21 used the same seat and that the larger frunk on mine may be an issue, the challenge now I guess is to find out how this makes a difference and if an earlier seat could be doctored to make it fit.

when i get home next week i can take pics of base of 16 seat see how yours is different

Put posts on the NC facebook and forum sites stating where you are and ask if a local earlier bike owner would be willing to meet up to try a seat swap. I did this a month or so back when I bought a Shad seat for my 2014 bike which I was told would fit an X, but it turned out it was for an S model.
