R1250GS Trophy Edition on order for the new year, looking forward to that now. Never owned a BMW before and recently handed over my 2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 in advance of delivery. Triumph was a superb machine that you could ride through a tornado. Opted for the GS as the new Tiger 1200 was just a little too tall for me, no option of a lower chassis either. It is a fine machine though, so very light compared to my 2018 but just 4kg lighter than the GS.
Possibly a mistake getting a 1250 so close to the release of the 1300 but there will always be a new bike around the corner so what the hell. I have no wish to be BMW's Guineapig ironing out new issues on a new 1300. One of the draws for me was the 3 or 5 year fixed price services offering. The 5 year BMW package will be cheaper than my single 20K miles valve service at Triumph!
