I popped into my local BMW dealer in Welwyn Garden City and saw a lovely red V4S Multistrada going for £19K.

"What stupendous, amazing BMW was this traded in for?", I asked the salesperson. "For a scooter and lots of cash", came the answer.

They might be up for a major service ,which I believe cost an arm and a leg .

The fuel consumption might come a shock to some, my wife’s petrol 360hp car does more to the gallon.

If you buy one certain learn how the plastics come off, because it will save you £££ come service time.

No, they have a very long valve service interval on the V4S. I suspect it is the horrendous MPG, it drinks fuel.

I did similar, traded a Z900rs for a scooter and some cash

The motivation wasn’t financial, I just wasn’t using the Z much and wanted to try commuting more regularly on 2 wheels since starting a new job in town

The scooter is more practical in traffic than my GS
