hi ive just purchased a yamaha majesty 250 (2000 w redg)purchased for work congestion charge ffs.
havent used it yet but insurance wise when can it be classed as a classic ?
thanks.

I doubt a classic policy will make much difference on that, plus a classic policy does not build up a no claims discount, which might come in handy one day on a more expensive machine.

Have my older scoots insured on a classic policy with Footman James if its any use Paul :thumb2

RH isured my 1977/ 1990/ 1972 bikes they seemed ok. They also do multibike. My K0 1972 Honda was added for a quid !

yamaha yp 250 majesty W PLATE 2000 QUATTROFORMAGGIO ?

My bad on the 2004 comment, that was from an American site, but for Europe it only appears to have been built from 2002 and sold from 2003.
You said 1980 earlier, which prompted my first comment, but a 2000 W plate doesn't sound right either.
Has it got some form of private plate on it ?
What does the V5C say ?

I would have assumed to classify as classic (low mileage) is different from a work commuter bike on an insurance policy.

I've got unlimited mileage on all of the classic bikes on my RH classic bike policy, as well as commuting cover.
