Keihan exhaust

About three years ago, I bought 'the last' collector box from Cheshire Motorad for a meagre £320. It definitely makes a smoother and better all round bike but like hens teeth these days ( unless another manufacturing run is made ). 'Y' piece does look better though:D

What did they say about your comments : "welds are bloody aweful, thin and look like candle wax has been dribbled in the gap”?

Yes, the Keihan I have are like you'd find in a dairy i.e perfect stainless and polishing. Pics of what you have fitted now please King Rat!

I start a new bridge job in the morning. 06.00 - 18.00, so it will have to wait until Saturday. Sorry.

Im sad to say it , but after working for over 46 years in the British manufacturing , i am very cautious about buying anything made in England.
Here is one from BMW Bayer. If you do consider returning yours and buying this i would check where its made first.
Hope this helps. Regards Steve

It’s will be a shame if Keihin’s quality has dropped off but I see bayer also offer a stainless collector box - at a price.

Just managed to get a NOS oem collector box for my G/S ,ceramic coated as well.
Not many of them about so i jumped at it.

Some pictures inside Keihan.

Why don't they appear in the order you upload them? It is all out of synch! Starting work on my bike and some of the silencers they have in stock for BMW, Ducati, Guzzi, Laverda, Triumph (Hinkley) and others. Down tubes bent ready for finishing.

Some more pictures. Lord knows what order they will appear in! Sections of the GS silencer, they are made from thick stainless. The end caps are for /5s I think.
