Hi All,
Replacing the steering head bearings on the Himalayan, got the spec and hitting the internet to find repalcements. I have not bought head bearings for 30+ years so really out of touch with brands, what is good what is not etc.

BKL, NTN, Nilos Rings, Timken, Koyo, Zrn, SNR, Fag, blah blah.

So much choice, not sure what to go for, so does anyone have knowledge of bearings and could advise on the matter.

Here are some websites, but can anyone recommend a good supplier ?

Many thanks

I think I’d be more interested in the supplier than the manufacturer. Go to a decent supplier and tell the type and size you want but stress that you want a good quality one.

When I was rebuilding machines I used to use NSK because I knew there was a good chance it would have been made in their UK plant and I’d never had one let me down.

As for the actual supplier, BSL used to be ok for quick delivery but expensive.
