Cissy bar

That might be drivel to ask but do not berate me for it. I asked it earlier but got no response and I do not want to create a separate thread just for this.
Can we install a sissy bar https://www.vikingbags.com/motorcycle-sissy-bars instead of a trunk? The trunk is nice to have but i can carry very limited things while the sissy bar bags comes in very large sizes and could carry a lot of stuff.

You don’t tell us to which bike you wish to mount the bar. I assume it’s a BMW GS?

Sorry I was away due to work. Yes, I am asking if it is possible to add a sissy bar https://www.vikingbags.com/motorcycle-sissy-bars On a BMW GS 1250. Someone suggested installing a backrest and using it as a sissy bar backpack anchor but I am sure that will not be possible but wonder if anyone ever tried DIYing?
