Each year we go to Spa for the 6-hour Classic Car race at the end of September, saying very close to Trois Ponts.

We have been several ways across Belgium to Trois Ponts, after leaving lunch in Chimay. This route was amongst the best, whether you are on a bike or in a sports car.

Given the popularity of Chimay for a lunch stop and the whole Trois Ponts area as a destination, I thought it might be of interest here.

Distance: 120 miles

The holiday park at Domain Long Pre, is good value for those that don’t want to camp but maybe fancy a bit of self-catering.

Some screen shots, using MyRoute’s ability to display Goggle’s Street View:

These posts aren’t working on Tapatalk unfortunately. Gets to the first MRA link and the link doesn’t work and the rest of the post is cut off.

Thank you.

Yes, it is. It’s a great feature of MyRoute that you can (with the almost unique exception of Germany) ask MyRoute to give you Google’s street view. I then picked spots on the route, near enough at the shaping points (though it could be anywhere you fancy) and took a screen shot. The map in the lower left corner showing the position. I then trimmed the screenshot, simply to neaten it up to post. All on an iPad.

I think the pictures work well, not least as they show readers what the road is like.

You can also add pictures into the route itself, so they pop-up.
