If you plan to use the Optimate SAE to USB connector, don’t.

It powers the wireless charger briefly (and somewhat unreliably) then powers down. It took me a while to work what was happening and the cause.

Maybe that’s what’s been going on for me. My Quadlock wireless charger isn’t delivering enough (or maybe consistent) charge to my phone so my battery gradually drains. Didn’t think it might be the USB port not delivering enough juice to the Quadlock

That’s a possibility. Do though check that you have turned the charger on.

It’s impossible to see the LED light on the top of the charging head, when the phone is clamped in place.

According to the blurb,’the LED flashes green if the power input is less than 5W/1A. With me, using the Optimate SAE to USB it didn’t flash, it just switched off each time.

This is the offending item:

In the end, I simply used a bog standard cheap (bought off eBay originally ) SAE to USB adaptor, definitely made in China. I found it kicking around in my box of plugs and wires.
