Suitable for charging hex head

Hey can I use this to trickle charger my 1200gs. I know its for a 1150gs but will it do any harm to the 1200.

If you connect direct to battery I’m sure it’ll be fine. Any bike specific 12volt charger would be fine direct to the battery too.

With car or other 12v chargers it would be wise need to check how powerful they vs how much your bike battery can take for charging.

I have an optimate 2 been using it on every bike since I bought it 22 years ago always connected directly to battery .

It will be fine on your hex head 1200. Even using the accessory socket. The LC's can be funny with older chargers through the accessory socket. Because it's controlled by the GM (General module).

Cheers motoRevive that was my original plan to go into the accessory socket just to keep the battery tip top but I was concerned about doing harm to the inner electrical working
