Opinions on Suspension Shops in Ireland

Just off phone with Clarence and was pleasure to talk too. He has all items on the shelf and only needs 2 day turn around time

What I like are his prices are on par with cheapest I can find pus £75 rebuild on each end.

He also knows the Tenere and was able advice on issues or problems, plus the pros and cons of other systems he has fitted to this make and model.

Have tried NDM last week and no reply yet, presume they are very busy so will try again later on.

Unless they are lot cheaper I might be going to PLR up north

Watching with interest as i will (eventually  ) need a job on the Guzzi.
Partly coz i canNOT find any info on rebuilding Bitubo fork internals, anywhere!

Thanks for keeping us posted. :thumb2

Some alleged specialists claim certain shocks are “sealed for life” and cannot be rebuilt. Others have the necessary equipment and can rebuild them. JJH

Very true, the klr650 and bmw shocks were like this

From memory though unless in states or oz where costs seem be lower, hard find anyone who can take apart and re weld/crimp a non rebuildable shock

We simply don’t have the volume of bikes and engineering shops who are skilled and passionate for bikes to even attempted let alone advertise this service

If the Oz crew hadn’t tested every option going I’d be left with my usual projects (new shock plus custom tripple clamp for proper forks)

Only reason i went with this model and not the improve model is lads in OZ rate the ktech upgrade as a good mid level upgrade using stock suspension for 99% riders
