A few of us have booked a ferry to Santander with the intention of having a mooch around the Picos and Pyrenees for a couple of weeks. I’ve just realised the Waves and wheels “festival” will coincide with the trip so was thinking of maybe taking a look.
I’m guessing some folk from this site will have attended previous years and would be interested in their take on it. Any tips or advice? Did you enjoy it and is it worthwhile?
I’m not into the hipster scene and my surfing and skateboarding days are long gone but I enjoy seeing vintage/custom/weird:thumb bikes being ragged about so I’m tempted.

I’ve never been… the other Gnarley guys have… but I’ve so far managed to avoid it…

The best bit? Sitting in a bar/restaurant somewhere close by and watching the locals ride around…with no fucks given to the legality/safety of their bikes…or scooters..

Ps…I’m never likely to be described as a hipster…..ever……and I enjoyed it..

Thanks for the replies. Twizz, you say you’ve “managed to avoid it”, what’s putting you off? I’ll be on my aprilia caponord for the trip but probably wishing I was on my Guzzi T3 Cali once in the Biarritz area 😎
I might dig out my 1977 G&S fibreflex skateboard to take, show the yoof how it’s done! (Not) ☺️ Then again if I stick the word “vintage” in front of it I’ll be quids in! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155199271664

SURELY that's a trip for the T3 Cali!

Unfortunately for me (and others have mentioned it) the riding position isn’t great for long distances. Mainly the rear brake pedal positioning giving my hip gip. As I said, once there (Biarritz) it would be perfect for bimbling around. The others are on modern, BM XR, speed triple etc and we like to “press on” ;)so the caponord is the way to go.
Great pictures, thebuyer. Even more tempted now. :thumb
