So I've been faffing now for ages with various types of cleaning agents to get some kind of life back into the blue rims on my 1150ADV.

I've tried (in no particular order) T-Cut, Meguiar's swirl remover, naptha, sticky stuff remover from B and Q, Auto Glym car polish and I forget what else.

The problem is that the rims look like they have sun-faded ( in Lancashire? Behave!) or have had some kind of cleaning material or whatever allowed to dry which has left them lookin washy and dull. They look patchy as f%ck and frankly crappy.

Any proper suggestions from anyone who has had a more than decent result would be greatly appreciated.:beerjug::beerjug:

They are anodised-so you will have ruined the finish sadly
I just use Motorex ‘protect and shine’ on mine

Thought as much :-( The bike had been stood under a tarp for a couple of years outside in a yard ( well, it was kinda draped over it) so the elements have been less than kind on a fair few exposed bolts & the wheels aren't too pretty. Never mind. I'll ride a bit faster so no one notices :)
