A GSA and a Harley.

Perfect combination. :thumb2

My 996SPS and newly acquired Softail Standard. Not very standard…

Husky Black Arrow

Don't have a pic of mine and it's still in hibernation, but my Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 always makes me smile when I see it. Pretty good fun, though a bit low on power.

There is a distinct lack of 2 strokes on this thread, so I'll put put one of mine up:

LHS 1 by KTM Marky, on Flickr

The same torque as the GS (105ftlbs), more HP (194RWHP), and a whole lot less weight (158kg dry), with a cable throttle for unadulterated fun. SSK-spec 1098R. Gold wheels FTW.

If a second bike's going to ever get used instead of the GS, I'd say the last thing to choose would be anything with an R12xx engine, and go for something as different as possible.

A scooter, Himmy, a classic..... all of these scratch a different kind of itch.

You would have thought that BMW would have made the Urban rideable from the factory !

You really don’t like them after your experience with your own one, and I can understand that as I’ve read most of your comments over the years, I remember you stating that you had pins and needles syndrome in the balls and I thought what a load of crap however, I have experienced this as well but only once, so hopefully the lowered pegs and Wilbers shock might have alleviated that problem.
On a different note you haven’t commented much on the Goldwing, have you managed to get some miles on it yet? This is another bike I may be interested in buying in the future and do appreciate your honest opinions on it ?

I’ve only done 700 miles ish on the Wing as wanted to get first service done . It’s under a cover in the garage as use my ADV350 locally or the R7.
But I’m taking the Wing to Brittany with wifey as pillion next month and then solo trip via Santander ferry to Picos in June, the riding back up through France .
The back to Brittany/ Spain in September so should get a good 4/5000 miles on it by the autumn.
Loving it so far ,though not stretched it’s legs yet.

Have to say that the GS is definitely the second bike but here's a pic of my first bike. Might as well get something very different:
