Eemshaven to Kristiansand ferry moved from mid-April

Booked the Eemshaven to Kristiansand ferry some time ago for three of us on a trip from the 23rd May to the 14th June. Just discovered that it will be sailing from Cuxhaven (Germany) from Mid-April and Endhaven from June 1st then returning to Eemshaven sometime in the future.

Cuxhaven is 115 miles further from Hoek van Holland than Eemshaven so it will be a bit of a rush but doable.

Looking forward to the trip

You won’t need to rush to get to Cuxhaven unless you’re desperate to avoid motorways, from memory it’s under 300 miles so you’ll be there well before tea time

Trouble is that the ferry leaves Cuxhaven at 15.30 and we must be on board by 15.00. That would give us 6 hours max for the 300 miles plus at least one petrol stop. It wouldn't take much of a hold up to bugger things up.

We've decided to go a day earlier and stop for the night at Wilhelmshaven, we've got plenty of time.

I think that’s a wise move. You could make the ferry if all went to plan but a succession of minor delays would wreck it for you.
