Departure Hand Hotel car park 10am prompt.

'Drop off' system will be used. A headcount Friday night would be prefered if not posted in advance on the site.

Riders briefing at 09.45.

Fill up tanks Friday ideally.

The route will be tailored to allow for numbers/weather.

There will not be a GPS routing available.

Riders attend at their own risk, using their own insurance etc etc.

It will be all tarmac...and suitable for roadbikes.

And let`s not forget one small detail.........IT`S ON SATURDAY :D :D :D

Might seem like a silly question but the road ride out, is it suitable for pillions? As in wives?
Or is it everyman/woman for him or herself (Christ I'm so feckin' pc) and go like the wind?
Cheers

NO.

A cursory read of the guidelines for the road ride, kindly posted by Charlie,in the 'Some More Info' thread would have answered that one.
I`ll be leading,and there`ll be a back marker.
The 'drop off system' will be in use.

If you have any concerns or queries,PM me.

Well Tarka, this will be my first GSer event with my missus, not sure that's the kind of reply I would've posted to welcome someone along.
PM sent.

Steve

I don`t see how it was a problem,as I answered clearly and concisely, and hopefully laid to rest the concerns you had about the 'free for all'.

seemed an reasonable reply to me... he answered your questions with a bit of humour and pointed you in the direction of a thread about the ride-out.. and offered to answer any other of your queries.

Tarka could have put a link to the other thread.. but it's not that hard to find

Anyway i hope you enjoy your first event :)

:dabone No. But if I did,it would be handy to transport the crumpled remains of your failed attempt to pitch a tent single handedly..... :dabone

Count me in

I'm up for the road ride :bounce1

OE tyres and a pillion so fords and off road are a little ambitious :ymca
