Hi, I am new to this site and only joined today - am I being dim (a definite possibility) or does it mention somewhere when the Pink Way Round is going to take place? I live in Plymouth and would be interested in either of the legs that go past me, thanks for the info, Anna

Would be interested in doing something for this very worthy cause, subject to work stuff etc, email or pm me.

Hi could all the people who wish to help on this leg put there hands up again and list there key skills or how they could help, so I can get planning .
Cheers Rob

Would you plan this route please and post in the thread titled 'To All Regional Co-ordinators...' held within the information section.

Your start point is : Lands End Hotel car park, time: approx 0600hrs and I believe the co-ordinates are SW 34304 25077

Thanks everso

Karen :)

I just looked at Clives route down into Cornwall, I was thinking about the way back up again which obviously would be the North coast, my query are we going to cover the same roads twice? It is just the route back out of Land's End avoiding the down route is pretty narrow and twisty even for those of us that know it all to well. Once past St Ives things get easier.

Hiya Shaun I havnt been to Lands End for a while but we had intended taking the road up through St Just, Pendeen etc. I dont think it will be a problem we are hoping to get down soon and do the entire route to get a better idea of timing and also to familiarise ourselves with the route. I will mail you when we do if you want to come along.
Cheers Rob

Rob I think it really is weather depend if a good day not too bad but well slow, on a windy miserable day it is not a wise move with another 200 miles in front of you. I come for a ride when you do look.

Good point on the weather I spent every summer as child near Sennan, most of the trees have that 45 degree windswept look about them for a good reason. I guess we could take the short cut on the day if needs be. Where abouts in Cornwall are you Im 2 hours from Lands end so it wouldnt be a bad day out even if we did just the North Coast.
Cheers Rob

well if you need a third body, count me in! I know shaun and i live in truro...

Always eager to help

Nate

I am in a place called Redruth 30 miles from the end :) If I could drag my ass out of my pit could well escort the ride around the Cornish Coast i.e from Saltash round to Bude and maybe bit beyond.

Cheers Guys local knowledge would be great for the Cornish coast if you would want to do a bit of leading. I know North Devon pretty well so I OK from there.
Im looking at coming down sometime the last week of the month just to make a few notes will let you know when.
Cheer Rob

Might Have A Problem Please Read

Hi Guys and girls, Might have a slight problem Anna is having a job interview abroad in two weeks time if she gets the job (best of luck Anna X) she wont be here for the challenge )-; Just thought it best to mention it now rather than later and find out if any other ladies were thinking of coming on this leg?
Cheers Rob

Good luck Anna with the job interview :thumb .... but I'll be sorry if we have to lose you in the challenge. :(

Duchess :)

Stig I have just reviewed the new route and would suggest that it would be quicker to go via Newquay and not by pass it. Getting on to the A39 earlier rather than later the route from Bodmin to St Treath is not the quickest and hard going.

Girl rider needed

Hi Guys
Have just spoken to Anna, she has been offered a contract in the Caribean and has accepted :clap well done Anna :clap
So now were looking for a new lead rider I have someone else in mind but shes doing a charity bike ride the weekend before so is possibly doubtful if she will manage both.
So come on girls summers here and its a nice ride to practise, and I will buy the cream teas.
Cheers Rob

Rob, if there are no offers from your area I have volunteered to drop the severn bridge to aberystwyth leg because both myself and Maria are doing it.(got to warn you though I ride a Honda Transalp  ) My hubbie will want to ride the leg too so offers his services as an outrider. Obviously if there is a GS girl in your area then fine but if not the offer is there. I have asked duchess to let me know ASAP if you need me so I can book the leave.
