Mine has 21,000K on it, 17 months old, been around South America and is just getting better and better.....wont ever sell it, will keep it and buy something else is I feel I ever need too!

It's the best bike I've ever owned and there's nothing even comes close to it or the feeling you get riding it, takes me anywhere, all my gear and looks fantastic!

Bring on the next 20,000 miles

I'm currently doing about 8K a year which is significantly less than my esteemed friend above. However, I've already been through two new front brake discs, two new cylinder heads, a new front engine casing and a new rear crankshaft oil seal.

I usually keep my bikes for a long time, I've had my VFR for 7 years now but I'm worried that long-term ownership of the GS could be an expensive proposition.

Mike,

Just take out a third party party warranty?? , or buy a crashed one for spares

I guess my 1200 is average then at 29,000 miles in 9 years.
I've got 3 bikes though so the GSA only gets used for touring trips.

Just over 3 years here Wazzer GSA..... 38,560 miles.

Off topic...my St1100 pan has 71,435 miles on it, I have done 50,000 of them in 5 years. Lad in the North East has 450,000 on a Pan!

30,900 for my 2013 90yr Anniversary GSA in 9.5 years. There would have been another 12,500(ish) miles if I did not have had a Zx10R and now currently a Z H2.........(well someone had to buy one )

Bought my bike as a motorway commuter, put 10K on it in the first six months, changed jobs and now only commute 100 miles a week with the odd 2-700 mile weekend play. So that's a 4-5k a year now. The clutch doesn't like city riding now.
