Hi, I've just joined the site as I am now the happy owner of my first airhead after previous ktm's
Here's a pic of my Monolever. An ex Danish army R65GS. Was in flaking Danish army green but at the start of getting it ready for some trailriding. I've got big plans for it eventually including some engine mods for a little more umpff but so far despite 27hp i'm finding it great fun to ride and super smooth
So far I've given it a new paint job and repaired the dents in the tank. Also tidied up the frame and rocker covers. Fitted a headlamp guard and custom front fender brace. Also got some decals made. I'm working on a CAD design for a fork brace. More pics to follow.
Next on the list is tyres but i'm not sure what to fit as there are a lot to choose from. I intend on using the bike seriously on the mud but don't think i can get away with a full on enduro tyres due to swing arm clearance.
Can anyone help with suggetsions for tyre choice?, have looked at Karoos and Heidenaus but don't think they will give me the grip I'm looking for.
