This suggestion for a two day jaunt around the island came up in the German Motorrad ‘Ride’ publication, where they presented a special feature on Tuscany.

To get to the island of Elba you have always to take the ferry from Piombino. You can also take the plane which arrives at the Pila airport.

does it give instructions for how big the ramp needs to be and what sort of launch speed the average GS rider would need to aim for to reach the land....? look like a very achievable 10Km... I presume it shows the takeoff spot in or around Piombino..? are there any special application to the local council....
