Garmin Express wont launch

As per the subject line, I can't get GE to launch. I've uninstalled and re-insalled a couple of times now.

This message has popped up once and must have some relevance?

Settings - control panel - add remove programs uninstall GE & re install from Garmins website

Its a clunky fecker at the best of times -

At least if you do a clean reinstall will show either its the program or your PC

Done that a couple of times now Santa. No change ...

Stop the bus ... Tried again after refreshing Firefox and removing Avast. Seems to be ok now.

So the next problem is with the Zumo 660 which was booting up, importing maps and then immediately shutting down again and repeating this ad infinitum, it seems.

After plugging it in to the PC , doing a hard re-set and updating the maps, the glitch above stopped but started again shortly after.

Any thoughts folks?

Edit: It looks as though it was simply the battery requiring charged. That wouldn't be a problem if the unit was plugged into its cradle. Stand down folks!
