Today I replaced the huge heavy OE silencers with a pair of Enfield Precision short silencers. I couldn't get over how heavy the originals are. These new ones look better and are a fair bit lighter. On tickover there's a nice deep rumble, but when I rode around our estate I was amazed at how much louder and deeper the sound was. If I'm honest I'll say maybe too loud, I certainly won't be riding with the baffles out. Mrs FatAl reckons it's a sign of getting old when you think motorbikes are too loud. I'll take it for a proper spin over the weekend, at least it'll drown out the sound of Stu's Beeza :DRE Enfield precision1.jpgRE Enfield precision2.jpg

You should get rid of the down tubes next because they’re double skinned and have a small cat (not the rat killing variety) in each one.

I fitted a Tec full system and no way are the baffles coming out because what is currently a relatively nice sounding bike would rapidly become worthy of an ASBO and an ankle tag.
