For those of you who dream of "doing" the Paris-Dakar but don't have the money, stamina or techniques, then rejoice (for it is the season)!!
The "Tour de France" for motorcycles, called the Moto Tour is being held again next year. 1-9 Oct from Reims to Toulon.
The race is open to all, and the biggest portion will be held on "normal" roads. There will be several stages at some of the racing circuits en-route.
The interesting thing is that GSs and KTMs stand a good chance, since most of the race is on b- and d-roads. Once you're on a race circuit you'll be blown away by the crotchrockets, but you'll get your own back once you're on a dirty or muddy road.
On friday, I'll be publishing an article on the race (it's already in the system, but for reasons, I'll be be visibile to you all on friday).
Costs should be under 1000 euros to enter the race.
