Twin plugging

Hello all,

just had heads machined by Mick Barr, lovely job done.
Now have to fit PVL coils, has anyone done this on an R80/100GS? If so, what sort of bracket did you use?
Dont want the coils to rattle off and rub through by newly painted PD tank.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

Mick Barr is so handy and with enough tools and toys would it not be easier to ask him to make you a bracket that will work. The man sure have the expierence to advise you on that.

You are so right, but, I have some s/s sheet at work and would like to have a go myself.
May be a big mistake but I can always phone Mick when play comes to an end!

Ahhh well if you have the stuff then give it a bash dude. I think whatever bracket you manufacture if it is going to be bolted down possibly just add some rubber spacers between the bolts to minimize the vibes and you should be ok. My GS in South-Africa has twin coils but they have been made fit on the original fittings and no probs as far as I know.

Although the PVL coils are slightly different I think they will fit in a similar manner.
