Have any of you V85TT owners fitted a steering damper ?
I dont see the need myself but someone asked the question

Cheers Mike

Mike - No I haven't! Does it need one? Mine tracks well, and the steering is pretty neutral I thought (using CTA3 tyres at recommended pressures)

I don't have mine anymore (Possibly a mistake) but I never felt the need, it had done a couple of European tours with some reasonably quick riding around the usual suspect roads in Italy, Austria, Switzerland. It never twitched or shook it's head, loaded or unloaded. Always found it to be very neutral steering and quite agile.

I totally agree I dont think it needs one either, I have ridden V85s in North Wales and The Picos beautifully stable chassis, the question was asked by someone who has had one on every bike he has had

I've done over 16K miles on mine and really don't see any need for a damper - steering is spot on!

I've not found the need for one in the riding I've done. In fact this is the first time I've heard a damper for a V85 mentioned.

As in all the previous posts, I don't see a need for one. Bike handles very well.
