Portugal Off Road 2016

Timolgra and I have an off road recce trip to Portugal this September.
We will be transporting the bikes from the UK to Portugal in a van
The dates are 13th to 24th September
We will be traveling from place to place and camping overnight.
Camping gear will be carried on our bikes.
Ideal bike 500 to 800cc

Confirmed on the trip
Me 690 RR
Tim 640 Rally
Mark Moon 690 RR
Geoff 690 RR

Sounds great Mark, Which part of Portugal do you plan on riding, or is the idea to cover the full length of the country?

Dave has changed his mind as he dose not get back from the States until the day before we go.
Steve Bakerman has pulled out due to his shoulder

The route is in the planning stage at the moment

I have a colleague who lives in Portugal, but works in the UK

His bike ? a 1200GS LC

When he goes home, he takes the bike UK to PT

He's young and hardcore, as he will make the run, as quickly as possible ..

If i recall last time it was night crossing to France, then a blast through France, until he felt tired,

then he stopped somewhere near the border, and then on the next day early to Portugal.

He's left the GS in PT at the moment, but he did a 1000k+ run from Nice to Calais on his last jaunt

virtually non stop !!

Van hire to transport bike to PT
Ferry to Santander
Fuel for Van
Pay driver to follow riders and take our gear to each camping site
Hotel for the first night we arrive and night before we leave PT
