Funny you should mention Mijas Pueblo, I'm going up there tomorrow to visit a friend for the day. Mijas is nice if you are with the family. But for real Spain,then it has to be inland more. There is a restaurant right by the lake at Zaraha which is nice, or up and over the mountain to Grasalema, fabulous road.. :thumb2

Ronda is a nice place.
Stayed a few days there about 15 years.

Hired a car and a bicycle.

Woke up one morning the car was gone.
Cost 100 quid to get it back from the clampers.

On a motorbike may be a better choice.
