Having been into BMW's since my father got a new R100RT in 1980 back in South Africa, I've eventually returned to the fold for my first "big bike" in over 10 years.
I've been running a 250 Honda greenlaner for a couple of years and picked up a new R1200GS in May. So new in fact, I'm still running it in with the first service due in a couple of weeks. (Work and family life need to be balanced with riding time).
Previous BMWs included, aforesaid R100RT in SA, another R100RT in the UK, twinned with an R100RS project bike as well a short stint with a new F650GS in SA after the initial R100RT was written off.
Looking forward to taking the new toy out on some UK and European road trips.
