Noisy enough for an advisory when it comes to MOT time (or so I am told), but those cans sound fab.:thumb

S1000R with scaffolding bolted on.................... I can understand why, but it ruins the bikes look...............IMHO.

It's a stunt cage, got it from a Russian company called Crazy Iron. Before realisising this bike is fantastic to use every day, I happen to be searching the net for decent crash protection for track days etc that might be able to protect my kliktronic shifter unit too, which has to stick outside the engine case, so R&G etc were no good. Saw the cage and thought i'd give it a go. I quite like the ridiculousness of it.

I like it too

Have i said that before ?

Having ridden the bike back home from London last night, I can tell you its too loud. I don't say that lightly either, I love loud exhausts. I run a full termi on the AT and an open pipe on the Triumph. The only other time I've deemed an exhaust too loud was when i straight piped my 3.5 V8 Range Rover.

So popped this thing in. It certainly lowered the DB level. Will see how it goes!

The full Akra GP exhaust was just too damn loud. I love loud, but it was ear piercing ASBO loud. After messing with baffles I got an MTC exhaust and made it fit the Akra headers. For £140 all in, I think it looks and sounds much better than the AkraGP. Arrow have recently released a range of exhausts for the 17 model, but not keen on them either. So this will do for now. Much deeper, richer tone. At least now I'm happy with it, I can get it tuned.

Don't suppose you have the dimensions for the Kliktronic brackets?
My missus is a below knee amputee and uses this on her F700GS. Only passed her test at 50plus last year and already wants a faster bike. Now she's been in the MCN this week she's getting impatient!

The units come with a small mounting plate but all installations are bespoke really. What bike is it she's after?

She fancies an XR, Ive fitted the Kliktronic to three different bikes now! Did the guys who run the company in the UK provide the bracket?

Ah, I see. no I made the bracket. Ive since simplified it to this. Don't know why this didn't come to mind originally !

That looks simple enough, I’m using a crash bar to mount on at the moment on the F700gs. It used to have an expansion piece on the plunger, that fell apart on the side of a motorway in Belgium so I “adapted “ the gear lever using the Armco on the side of the road to bend it! These are good but always wondered if a simple cable mechanism like the old push bike gear changes would be possible. On the F700gs, at night, you notice the headlight dim when she changes gear!
